I guarantee you, all the people preaching "dElAy tHe gAmE, I nEeD 244 fPs!11!" will get absolutely boiled when they game gets delayed another 6 months to a YEAR because the FPS is locked to the engine.
It's not as simple as "unlock the frames lol." It literally breaks the game. When the frames were unlocked, it created ludicrous amounts of input lag. There is no real fix for it. Look at Fallout 76 as another example where the FPS is locked to the physics engine.
60 FPS is fine. You'll live.
I personally opted for 4K 60FPS over 1440p 144FPS because I wanted more detail rather than a smoother framerate. That's just me speaking though, don't let me influence your opinions.
