HiddenXperia on delaying the game
https://youtu.be/4hPurYYq_-4

I absolutely agree with him, at least with the multiplayer.
Most people here doesn't seem that interested on following up on updates, reading stickies, etc. so launching the game with 60FPS lock would be a pretty bad idea.

The launch needs to be perfect.

Launching the game with the literal only stable possibility within a reasonable amount of time is a bad idea?

I guarantee you, all the people preaching "dElAy tHe gAmE, I nEeD 244 fPs!11!" will get absolutely boiled when they game gets delayed another 6 months to a YEAR because the FPS is locked to the engine.

It's not as simple as "unlock the frames lol." It literally breaks the game. When the frames were unlocked, it created ludicrous amounts of input lag. There is no real fix for it. Look at Fallout 76 as another example where the FPS is locked to the physics engine.

60 FPS is fine. You'll live.

also this game is not actually about the looks it's more about revieving a legacy that would have been lost on xbox360...

Lots of us still only have displays that can display in 60hz too.
I personally opted for 4K 60FPS over 1440p 144FPS because I wanted more detail rather than a smoother framerate. That's just me speaking though, don't let me influence your opinions.

I don't care about what some hack Youtuber says. I want to play Halo Reach on my PC. I don't care about uncapped frames, I'm just glad that it isn't 30 fps anymore. And didn't they say that it would come a few weeks after launch? Why is it absolutely necessary that it launches with uncapped frames? Most people only have 60hz panels anyways.

I am hungry for PC halo games. I will play it any way, even if there was a bug causing sudden butt sex.

that's a very specific example....

better constant 60fps than inconsisten 120fps. even halo wars 1 cant hold 120 fps in 1vs1 fights

not a very good example, since the gamebryo engine was already ancient and deprecated when it launched over 15 years ago

60 fps will be fine. I prefer if they fix input lag and audio issues before launch.
Betty Nov 18, 2019 @ 1:44pm
One of the statements that really peeved me in that video was the this stuff can't be fixed in 3 weeks. Yes it can and they will be fixed. everyone acts like all 343 is doing is sitting there watching people play the flight. They knew about alot of these issues way before any of us. Even those in the flight program. I give you a 100% the issues on an internal flight that only 343 has has these issues fixed. they just havnt rolled it out yet on this last flight. Also hot fixes are a thing. there are going to be problems with a world wide release. A patch the next day or day one is going to happen. no matter what the issue is. Ready when its Ready. it's ready we are ready 343 is ready. The airplane is taxing down the runway getting ready for take off. ♥♥♥♥ gets a little bumpy before the take off but once in the air things go pretty smoothly. Calm yourselves. Don't listen to all of these Halo Youtubers that are all theory and politics.
