Is Halo 2A performance ever being fixed?
Since MCC got an update now is there a chance or are they focusing on MP stuff?

The reason H2A and CEA in the campaign don't run all that great on some levels has to do with the duel graphics engines running at the same time. If you notice when switching to Classic Graphics, the framerate is completely stable and goes way in the hundreds of FPS about 400-700 FPS and all the other campaigns have the FPS working just fine around that. I have a theory possibly if the anniversary graphics engine was stripped out to only run on one engine, I bet the Anniversary Graphics on both campaigns would run much better.

I have no issues playing all of the games at a stable 120fps cap

Had a few split second drops to 80ish fps during the CE campaign but no issues with anything else.

Yikes. H2A runs like ass on every PC. You have no idea what youre talking about.

I bet you think 60 FPS is good in 2022. I can run BF V at 150 FPS but H2A runs at 40-70 FPS.

Me and my friend played coop together, we ran into performance issues at the same time. Not to mention coop is busted on so you have to switch between graphic modes every now and then just so you don't get dropped from the session. Shame cause the new cutscenes are dope.

The frame rate on pc is horrible for ce and 2 anniversary, my xbox one s struggles to run 40 fps. I also have a xbox series s and to be honest halo mcc runs way worse than it could on the next gen consoles, lots of great content but the optimization is not there.
Indeed, as someone who has tested with a wide range of hardware, both PCs and consoles, I can safely say that 343's Halo games lack basic optimization.

The Xbox One and Xbox One X aren't worth having for MCC anymore, it's unplayable as of 2019's Halo Reach addition to MCC. Consistently far below 60fps, even with the dynamic resolution basically locking itself to 720p, when it used to run 1080p/60 somewhat consistently. The One X is somehow even worse than base Xbox One, often falling far below even 30fps.

The Xbox Series S is where the Xbox One was in 2014 - 2018, it runs 1080p/60fps somewhat consistently but STILL can drop below 60fps at 720p in H2A. 120fps mode is basically unusable because of these constant drops.

The Xbox Series X targets a dynamic 4k/120fps, but once again, in H2A, it can drop as far as 1080p/70fps, somehow. The r5 3600+RX 6700 XT equivalent console can't run a game made for the 14 year old AMD Jaguar CPU and GTX 760 equivalent.


Halo Infinite is even worse too, it's like 343 have simply just given up trying to make their games run well, no matter what hardare.
Finally alot of people in this thread have some common sense, halo mcc runs terrible on base xbox one, and the next gen consoles including pc. It's unacceptable how poorly optimized it is, 343 haven't even mentioned the issue! I legit posted help for it months ago i got no real response that they saw it, I've waited 6 months.

I have played halo ce and halo 2 on classic. No it's not 100% stable, it dips from 120 fps to 99-100 for certain maps like delta halo or outskirts for example. These issues seem to carry over from halo 2 anniversary. Same for halo ce anniversary. Also halo ce anniversary runs even worse than halo 2 anniversary on pc for some odd reason. I also want you to be able to only run 1 engine at a time instead of 2 games, that how ever will never be added. Atleast for now!
