Stuck on sign in error.
First accidetally cancelled to link my xbox live profile to my steam now i just get a Sign in error and when i press retry it just get stuck on a login/search loop and i found no way to fix it. Deleting MCC from AppData and restarting my PC didn't work, neighter reinstalling the game.

Within the MCC game files, there's a file that handles the XBox login credentials. Delete that specific file and it will force the game to give you another chance to login. Just search the forums and there should be some helpful guides.

Do you know what that file is called? I did the exact thing OP did and I've been trying to fix it.

Edit: I found the file and deleted it and the game started working again thx.

Found a solution that worked for me, go to:
Control Panel > User Accounts > Credential Manager
Scroll down and look for the file called: Xbl|DeviceKey
Delete it.
It should let you connect with Xbox live now.

lol I'd like to point out that my original comment was wrong, because the file isn't hosted within the MCC but Windows itself.

Thank you, spent hours trying to get this to work; edited registry files and everything. This finally did it for me.

Still works today, thanks!!!!
This Control panel method is not working for me anymore. Microsoft is also locking my dummy accounts for no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ reason. does anyone know how to completely bypass the sign in process thanks.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
