do super bounces still exist
the only way i've been able to relive the nostalgia is by turning a modifier on that makes you bounce, but like in Halo 2 classic are the bounce spots like on headlong still there to get on the crane?

yes, they do. Engine has not been tweaked that far to mess with physics. If you are able to nade jump and rocket jump I highly doubt you cant.

In classic multiplayer, yes.
They're affected by the higher tick-rate though, I think, so timings/intervals will probably be smaller.

Ticks rates, and fps effect things now unlike back in the day. For example, much harder to sword fly.. but it's possible.

Not in matchmaking. They still exist, but they're not the same. With the 60fps tick rate, many of the ones that used to be useful are now either not possible or fatal. I think the red base/crane one on headlong is one of the ones the dropped me through the ground and killed me when I tried. New behavior. The game can be modded to be played at 30fps with anti-cheat turned off, though, and the jumps work well there, from what I understand.

Mine too, I think. I used to spend hours with friends practicing those on that map, spending time on top of red base. Reach's Headlong's red base doesn't have crates to play with up there, but it's still a good spot: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZBSbn81sGOo

Pretty sure you can lock the game to run at 30fps via Nvidia settings if you have an Nvidia card, without modding

That wouldn't change the in-game tick rate that governs the game physics, just the image output. The superbounce would still be broken, just at 30 fps visually. The problem is that the game is checking collisions twice as often now. Changing that requires modding.

Matchmade multiplayer runs at 60 ticks, regardless of framerate.

If you could actually lower your own game's tickrate you'd probably just desync and lose connection or get kicked
