Halo MCC CE - Can you hijack the banshees in the beginning of the Halo level?
It would be rare to hijack a banshee during any of the levels in Halo MCC CE, but can you do it? There are banshees flying around the second mission level (Halo,) can you hijack one of these banshees?

I don't think you can hijack banshees at all in CE.
you cannot

I dont think its possible, even if you can snipe the elite thats controlling it
the cockpit seems to be completely enclosed I think

You cannon hijack in halo ce at all. You also cannot shoot enemies out of banshees either as they aren't open, they will just blow up.

fun fact about older games, gameplay elements introduced in later games are not in them.
you cant in combat evolved, I think earliest you can get on this level with "double bridge" where you go out and snipe elite very fast so he cant get in it.

Hijacking was introduced in halo 2 as many things were that is now just the norm in halo, like swapping weapons with npc's, destructible human vehicles, marines that can drive warthogs, etc.
Thanks guys - Too bad you cannot hijack the banshees, it would have been fun...

There's no hijacking mechanic in CE but there's a rare chance for one of the banshee will flipped in level 2 but sadly you cannot drive it (you can flip it though)..

In the AotCR, there's a trick where you can steal the banshee at the beginning of the bridge by manipulating the AI path and skipping the level in few minutes.

You can...but only if you are quick enough to get to one before it is taken. "Assault On the Control Room" is the only chapter where this is possible without cheating or exploits.

The key is to kill the Elites surrounding the Banshees before they have a chance to use them. Jackals, Grunts, and Hunters cannot use Banshees.. A well placed plasma grenade (preferably landing on the target so it sticks to them) or a quick headshot or two with the sniper rifle are your best choices.

Hijacking vehicles was not introduced until Halo 2, so you will not be able to in CE.

You guys should all take a look at this. Go to 27:57, since timestamping does not seem to work on Steam embedding.

That's not hijacking, that's just getting into the vehicle before an enemy does.

That's not hijacking, it's getting into a vehicle that is not being piloted. The elite gets out of the vehicle on its own.
