can mods get you banned?

Found some cool mods on nexus can you get banned for using them. there Sandbox mods

When you start the game, click "Halo: MCC Anti-Cheat Disabled" and click continue. This will allow you to use mods in-game without getting banned.

Nope. The only thing that could get you banned is to try to bypass the Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC). That's not something you can do simply by swapping out some files. That would mean modifying RAM on the fly using a 3rd party program.

Make sure to keep copies of the unmodified files so you can play the game with EAC on when you want to. If you try to play the game with a modded file then EAC will detect it and either kick you or boot you back to the main menu. Disabling it will prevent you from playing matchmaking, earning achievements, earning XP, or earning unlock points.

Although it's faster to backup files, if you delete them by mistake verification of the game files can also restore them, just takes a bit longer
