Game disappears from task bar

Windows 10 64 bit
Almost every time I minimize the game (or alt tab) I can still hear the game but it is nowhere to be found, it simply just disappears from the task bar and there is no way that I can reopen it - anyone else having similar issues?

I am also having a similar issue. Except It will also do this upon startup. It just won't appear on screen even though I can hear it.

I just alt+tabbed and its gone despite task manager and steam saying its running.

Having the same problem when i press "windows button" or "Atl + Tab" de game disappears but it still running in background (windows 10 - 64bits)

Your game probably got minimized. Go to start and type " multitask settings ". Then you gotta scrol down a little bit and choose " all desktops " or " show all " something like that. You will see the game at the taskbar. Click it and have fun.

WORKED! Thanks man. Any idea why Virtual Desktop Multi-Task settings for ALL DESKTOP when your the only user especially needs to be applied? Hmm. Could google it further but meh. Appreciate ya man.

I have the same problem. It doesn't disappear every single time I minimize. I have the game minimized on the taskbar right now and it's still there, but this has happened to me so many times including twice today already. It's super annoying. Hopefully this is just a bug and 343i can fix it.

Did u try the solution that posted?

Run the game in windowed-borderless. This makes it way easier to still use your PC while running MCC and it doesnt disappear from the windows task bar

Did u try the solution that posted?

Yes I did. I went and checked that setting, but it was already set to "All Desktops"

Alternate Solution:

Get Sysinternals Process Explorer. Find game in process list.

Right Click -> Window -> Bring game to front.

This wasn't an issue when the game was released in 2019. It's a relatively new issue.

This is not a perm solution.

This issue affects multiple games; seems to be related to Windows, rather than being specific to the MCC.

Just had this problem occur to me too, after not happening yesterday. Running in borderless helped me, I could press the Windows key without losing the game in the background
