Hey guys thinking of buying Reach for the coop. I'm MKB. Hows the scene looking? Also from Australia if that's any help.

Don't buy them for campaign co-op as all of them need a rewrite of the netcode, which may never happen. Multiplayer and Firefight works great, though.

The games were always like that. You may have not noticed since you were the host. So, if you have had fun doing it before, buy it and try it.

The games use legacy lockstep netcode so your connection directly affects how well the game plays. Mouse and keyboard play fine, no issues with it at all. The mod scene is going with minimal mod support and proper tools will be releasing sometime next year in 2021.

There is no splitscreen outside of this mod as of now.
