TL;DR: it should work, but I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't.
You can still nail flies the timing is twice as quick due to double the tickrate. FPS does seem to have an effect on swordflies as they can induce input lag. Even with precise timing and a macro it will not be 100% consistent.
I've changed no settings anywhere, and I am locked to 60fps (Older PC).
I double-checked the macro and it does do everything at the right time, and even clipped a few attempts and slowed it down in premier.
It seems the Sword reticle doesn't stay red on the switch. I've only got 3 different instances of this and maybe the game tickrate got sped up somewhere, but yeah. I can't swordfly anymore. Even went back to a controller just to try it and it still won't go. Been testing it on as many levels as possible.
As for consistency, even manually I was getting a 9/10 success rate, Macro was maybe 6/10. I've been standing in one spot trying to sword fly off an elite for 20 minutes straight. Even a terrible macro would have gotten it at least once by now.
Try only binding the action and weapon switch key together with a macro and see if it work as it'll narrow the time frame you can work with as the trigger timing is the most crucial so manually doing it without worrying about an extra key will see if it's a timing error.
Maybe the controller got bugged out? I tested it on keyboard it seems to work fine.
Been running off a very tight macro all day today and still can't get a fly. Even tried with a different controller, and manually doing it on keyboard. Still nothing.
This only makes it more confusing now...
I'm curious what the issue could be i'm in the dark as well.
Alright, finally got a sword fly off...
However it's much less consistent than it seemed to be prior which is odd since again, none of my settings or the working macro had changed at any point. I think the fine timing somewhere is different for some reason.
I'm very firm on this because I had been running a swordfly macro ever since H2 hit the PC and it worked very well, very often. Then to come back and have it not work even after 20 minutes of trying is very very strange. I'm working with the macro timing a bit to see if it's on the switch or the lunge.
Sword Cancelling? Yeah those work fine and smooth. I'm just baffled how a Macro that worked since H2 PC Release suddenly stops working and no amount of messing with the timing seems to help correct it.
also doesn't help my patience for these types of things is the size of an ant.
I'm only using it in campaign. I turn it off for MP. So no, it doesn't trip anything. And it's older Razer Synapse
The timing I use for my macro is
Q hold/release 0.03
R hold release 0.03
Right click hold/release 0.03
The first keeps can be set to 0.02 but it's more inconsistent for me so I use this.
I'm gonna give this a try today. I've been running a 0.014, 0.014, 0.015 (Q,R,Fire) and this is the macro that "broke".
Have you gotten it to work consistently?
