It’s bland asset reuse that’s just there to make it seem Halo 4 has more content then it actually does.
I’ve finished it all on solo legendary for the achievement and I’ll never touch it again.
...But by doing that, you've already placed it on a very high pedestal. The amount of time and effort you put into that achievement is synonymous with giving Spartan Ops the highest form of honor, that you would want to experience it in such a way and be rewarded for your experience.
You can't finish Spartan Ops legendary solo and then turn around and say that it's trash. That's like hanging out at a playground that you think is ♥♥♥♥♥♥, the swings are broken, the slides don't make you slide, and there's a better playground right nearby, and you still go to this bad one and say "damn this sucks" but you keep going there.
You're going to spend all that time and energy, giving that game mode the honor that is YOUR time and energy as a human being, and then say that it's garbage?
I think that says more about you than anything else. You've given a lot of respect to something you think is irredeemable trash. Have you ever thought about what that means for yourself? How do you see yourself?
I said it was Bland Asset Reuse, It's not awful enough to be legitimately bad, but it didn't have enough effort / budget to actually be worth experiencing more then once.
But despite that I still want all the Achievements in the MCC, so i wasn't going to let some "Meh" content eventually leave me at 99% when I only had to just get it over with once.
Did I put in some "Time" sure, but "Effort" no it took no effort whatsoever because you have unlimited lives, I simply had videos on my second screen going while playing.
The problem is that Spartan Ops was designed with coop in mind. So much for that when there aren't any servers for it. It also doesn't help that Spartan Ops lacks the reputation to warrent such servers (I'd be surprised if any do go online along with the rest of Coop Campaign if and when that happens). It may well be doomed to be a forgettable part of the Master Chief Collection to the point where you can't easily play it as it was intended to be.
