Brutes in other games are a joke. H3 brutes so-called "power armor" can be easily broken via burst of AR, PR, or anything, really. Chieftains can be easily wrapped around. ODST brutes take a bit more because now they have energy shields, but the same strats still applies. Reach brutes is also a joke, but the chieftains are a little bit more of a hassle to deal with.
Onto elites, starting with Reach.
Reach elites are tricky to fight if you dont have the right weapons, especially with the frequent change of ranks and weapons they use. CE elites, in my experience, is probably the scariest ones to fight, espeically those red bois. If you ever played H2 legendary for a significant amount of time, you will know what H2 elites has to offer, 95% ultra, swords, no knockback, etc etc. As for H3 elites, their AI is quite bad because they aren't the enemies now, and H4 elites are a joke.
Obviously, for someone that has played halo for a loooonng time, none of these are even a challenge, but i'll set aside my narcissism for a second here. Comparing these two, there is only 1 game that brute outshines elites, elites in Reach and H3 (and CE too but thats doesn't count) is where they are better than the brutes.
