I started the game straight out on legendary when i got home from the game store after school on the launch day.
About 2/3 days later i got that achievement, so I was the first person out of all the xbox players at my school to get it.

Isn't that complete Halo 2 on Legendary?

I completed Halo 2 on Legendary as a kid when there was no achievements for beating it on Legendary, with ADHD and other learning difficulties.

Step up boy.

Or if you mean the Reach achievement, you can do that on the final level. Just jump off the cliff onto the white elite below until you do it. Reload checkpoint if you mess up.
