Halo 3 ODST kicking me out of firefight and campaign missions
so I installed it today and got excited to play and I started up firefight and died on heroic about wave 3 and then was taken back to the main menu. I then decided to go to the campaign and start the mission Mobassa streets...this is when i really noticed it. Before the game even loaded the mission I was taken back to the main menu. I tried again and literally 10 seconds after just seeing the first pack of enemies I was booted to the main menu again and the error saying it was due to connection which was very strange cause I've never encountered any connection issues at my place. I tried yet again and the issue persisted. I've reinstalled twice now and verified integrity each time and the issue continues to kick me from the game back to the main menu. It's quite upsetting cause I'm not able to enjoy one of my favourite halo games with my friends as well as I haven't seen anything anywhere of anyone saying they have encountered this problem.

Hey Spartan! We're sorry to hear you're having this issue. We may have a possible solution available for you!

Our suspicion is that this issue is the result of having multiple IPV4 addresses. You can verify if this is the case for you by doing the following:

1. Press Windows key > Type CMD & press enter
2. In the command window that appears, please type ipconfig & press Enter

If you see multiple lines labeled 'IPV4', all with different numbers associated then you are most likely connected to the internet via 2 or more methods (ethernet, wifi, vpn).
If this is the case, you will want to (make sure the game client is completely shut down) disable all but one of these options, relaunch the game and re-attempt to connect to Firefight.
I also recommend passing this information along to your friends just in case.

Let me know if this works for you or not so we can continue to troubleshoot further.

I got this from ticket and it worked. If you have hamachi or any other vpn installed make sure those drivers are off or just uninstall them. :steamhappy:
