The best part is that people can see it!!! If you have a controller the button combo for Halo 3 on default settings is

Right bumper + Left Bumper + chin on left joystick + Down on D-Pad + A button = lowered weapon

EDIT 8/30 I have no idea why this blew up now but let me clear up some things. This doesn't work on a keyboard because there is no corresponding button for the D-pad. When I say chin on left joystick I literally mean you have to hold your chin down on the left joystick. Good luck accomplishing this without doing that. But anyways I do wish 343 Industries would add the ability to do this for keyboard players. It's annoying having to pull out my controller during a match.

No one said mouse and keyboard is the only way to go. That's your own words. But in a platform in which mouse and keyboard are the main input, you'd expect discussions like this to refer to that in the first place. You take this personal as if this was directly related to halo, but it's not. It's like make a thread on xbox discussions about a specific command like this one and you proceed to show the way to do it on mouse and keyboard instead of controller.

Someone once told me that the arrow keys on a keyboard are equivalent to the D-Pad but I've never been able to use them to lower a weapon. If someone wants to experiment then be my guest. If you do push a lot of buttons down at the same time on a keyboard make sure that the keyboard can actually send all those individual button presses correctly. It's easy to have a setup that blocks certain key presses when everything is held down.
