Betrayal glitch
please fix this i keep getting the same couple groups of people every other game and they do this so i get kicked and have to sit out this is messed up please fix

So let me get this straight? They're killing you and so you kill them back?

Or stated another way: your solution to trolling is to feed the trolls?

As long as you dont engage in killing them there is no reason as to why you would get kicked. If its that much of an issue just play a different mode like firefight/story for a while and eventually you will get put into a different lobby.

they shoot me then melee me and run to a part of the map that is able to jump off and it counts as a betrayal i have the video that shows them doing this lol

I know this one - i remember it happened in the original - the ledges underneath narrows have some super weird properties.

the betrayal glitch on that map is long known - i can find forums over 10 years old mentioning it.

You can do the glitch on practically every map in Halo 3, Narrows being the easiest one. It's awful but I doubt 343 will fix it unless they can make deaths by the guardians never count as betrayals.

Yes this glitch is super annoying. There are many legacy betrayal glitches but this one is the easiest of all besides the Halo CE grenade betrayal glitch. Here is a link HiddenReach did a while back on every known map you can do this on. https://www.youtube.com/watch?&v=Xz_F5DEnahQ

All they have to do is bump into you and if you get killed by the guardian, not fall to your death or suicide, killed by the guardian and it will count as a betrayal against the last teammate you bumped against before you died. OP is probably referring to Narrows as it is the easiest to do and super annoying. Every time I get this map I stay the hell away from everyone else on my team because there is always one POS that does it.

There is another one on Halo CE where you get the teammate to shot you. melee him or something to instigate a response. then chuck a nade off of him or the wall and stand over it so you can blow yourself up with your own nade and it will count as a betrayal against him and not a suicide. These guys that grieved me for power weapons all match did this as a coordinated team. These are legacy bugs with no fixes being mentioned by 343 of ever getting addressed. So exploit at will because 343 will do nothing about fixing them
