Would be nice if they added some of those things to previous games, especially Halo 1
5: Terrible story/campaign, still with annoying Promethean enemies. Fun multiplayer.
The stories are such ♥♥♥♥ that if infinite wants to associate itself with them whatsoever, it’s a no-buy for me.
The lore of the story was supposed to tie in with human religious themes, Ark, Flood etc and remember one point of the religious theme was HUMANS (Noah) made the Ark.
The reasons are mostly because of the directions they took the story. I don't mind the gameplay changed that much.
This being said, most of my reasons for hating 4 and 5 are standard in the community, narrative/artstyle/character changes etc but one sin leaves the most sour taste in my mouth about them both WHY THE ♥♥♥♥ CANT I PLAY AS AN ELITE ANYMORE YOU ♥♥♥♥♥
Hardly an abandoned plot, not to mention the whole Noah's "Ark" and "escaping the Flood" vibes. It was very heavily implied that humans were the ones that created the Ark and Rings, until the story went somewhere else.
Children of my Makers can also mean a lot of things. Doesn't have to imply direct lineage. Using one single dialogue line to prop up an entire plot thread doesn't seem like a solid foundation.
