What is the point of Legendary difficulty?
I am not shy when it comes to difficult games but there is difficult and stupid difficult. I mean when you get hit like 1 or 2 times and you die. How is that fun for anyone? I mean I am sure if I was younger I would have a bit more patience but to me it just stupid that they have it as a requirement. I am sure not everyone that plays Halo gets all the achievments because of the difficulty settings. I mean when I played The Last of Us 2 it didn't have a difficulty requirement. I mean I think you can make it harder but it wasn't a requirement like the last game.

I just finished playing Halo 3 on Heroic and even that I had to approach it differently. Especially dealing with the flood. Its the small ones that annoy me to no end.

try it with co-op or don't worry about those achievements then. Maybe someday you will get them. after you get better and learn ways of getting past parts its not so bad.

Can you play Halo 3 with co op? I know Halo Reach I was able. I mean do you play as the Arbiter or another Spartan?

Some of it isn't intentional, at least not really. Halo 2 was rushed out and was not really balanced. on Legendary. People have fond memories of it but I think reminding people that it's held together with wire and duct tape is necessary when looking at the comically unbalanced mess it can be at times. This is of course excluding the many downright broken levels too.

Legendary is the hardest difficulty in the game, it is supposed to be very difficult. There wouldn't be a point in having a hard difficulty if it wasn't hard... Just stick to the easier difficulties if you don't want a hard experience.

Why are you comparing a game that isn't meant to be difficult to another game on it's HARDEST difficulty. Also, where is this required nonsense you're talking about? Who's forcing you to play on a difficulty to hard for you?

When you can play Halo well it's not that hard, can take some time though certain sections, depends on your approach.

Sometimes you have to get creative.

I was just looking at the achievements and it is required. If I want to get all of them I would have to do it on Legendary.

Plus I have played hard games. I just know that playing on Legendary you will basically be shooting and hiding behind cover the whole time because geting shot from multiple directions will kill you fast.

We completed as 4-team on legendary. I asked friend how do they find it, they said it's feeled like "normal difficulty"

It's not stupidly difficult at all. It makes the game harder but it is not unbeatable or unfair in any way. When you die, it's because you messed up/played poorly. The game doesn't throw any bs at you like some other games and is a fair challenge. The only exception is halo 2 because it wasn't balanced properly due to time constraints. The rest of the games on legendary are solid though.

Those people have wisdom. It's not worth doing something that you don't want to do for an achievement.
Some people do have fun taking on absurd difficulties, but that's their version of fun maybe not yours. At least they are putting their minds to something a bit more engaging than trying to maximise their XP per hour.

Don't let those digital pats on the back distract you from doing what you want to do with the game.

Well I probably give it go.

So you're mad to earn an achievement you need to actually be good at the game/work for it. Go watch speed-runners do this stuff on Legendary. That takes time and dedication.

I remember playing Outlast on insane mode. Basically one life and one battery to last you the entire game. If you die you start from the beginning. I did that, oh how many times I spent doing that. It was called insane for a reason because that how I felt after I beat it.
