You're already signed into Steam just to play games, a one-time login on Xbox isn't a big deal.
I don't care about online or achievements. Windows 10 was a big ZERO with me, especially after beta testing and using for school. Getting a "Bethesda" account would be "just another log in" as well...but I don't want to have to have another one if I don't have to. Fewer logins are better. I just want to play, again.
That's fine, I'm all for less DRM, which is why I buy physical ( I even bought a "physical" copy of DooM eternal off of Amazon just to find out it's cardboard disc with a key to use on their crappy launcher) and GOG unless games are on sale/exclusive here.
I'm just saying since this is how things are now, a fake email and account isn't such a big deal. At least it's better than being forced to download another launcher despite buying the game on Steam.
More like the baby generation.. jesus, the only ones that complain about this login or multiple platforms are the new generation..
I don't care where my games are, unlike most of these cry babies, I have (Xbox, wii, playstation, ps vita, switch, rog phone2, uplay, origin, steam, gog) and many other places..
you sign in once, click auto remember, there done.. what's so hard... JESUS children today.. act so privilaged!

I remember buying CD games, installed and boom, no external applications e.t.c..
Your comment is out of line. I've been playing games on computers and game systems since before the Atari 2600 and way before windows was created. I also still have most of my PC CD-ROMs, and still enjoy playing HALO off one of those. That said, DRM sucks and I have being signed into 50 million different platforms, especially since they DON'T always remember and some are insane to reset should you forget. Oh, and Jesus has nothing to do with this... it's all about Steve, Bill, and Muther Zuckerberg.
Certainly, it seems this is the only way to play. Thank you.
Leave Bill out of this, he has done more for the world than half the population of most countries.
yikes! in the scenario of a wifi outage - wonder if you can just get round this by using your mobile for hotspot simply for the log in, then spin up some campaign/firefight solo and disconnect your hotspot, would it play on or kick you out?
