Not logging campaign progress (Halo 2)

Just finished playing legendary co-op on Halo 2.

However, from "Regret" onward I did not recieve any progress logged in my game, both achievements related to level completion or completing on legendary nor was anything logged in my mission selection as being completed on legendary (or at all).

Is this a known glitch or one related to the latest patch.

Is this something that will be fixed or will I have to complete these missions again solo to get the credit logged?

Do you get any other achievements and does it sync with your halowaypoint.com account? For me not a single achievement that i try to unlock in Steam works and it also only syncs multiplayer unlocks and settings (like appearances) if i unlock an item in the career view - other than that, like stats or achievements don't seem to get synced for me and therefore also won't unlock achievements on Steam. I tried quite a few things already, resetting firewall multiple times, including disabling entirely, tried force enabling Xbox related Windows 10 services, tried deleting save data and downloading the xbox app beta for game pass. Nothing seems to work. I was actually hoping for yesterdays update to fix anything but didn't help either. Weirdly enough, I also tried a different PC (entirely new Windows installation without any settings changed), still nothing seems to work (and campaign completion is not synchronised either). Not sure what to do about this.

I recieve achievements for collectibles and misc things (like getting the Scorpion as the Arbiter) but nothing related to actually completing levels (the level achievements/ completing the game/ completing the game on legendary).

But it's not just achievements, when I check my mission menu it doesn't have a record of me completing anything past Regret even though I completed the whole campaign on legendary.

If you have Reach, does the "I'm Sorry, Dave." achievement work for you? That and "Remember Reach" (tried it yesterday) don't work either for me. I randomly got some of the Halo 2 collectible achievements yesterday (which i don't remember to have ever picked up back when i played on Xbox One).

Do you have any of the non scoring skulls activated at all?

These are the skulls with the x0.0 multiplier on them and these disable achievements related to completing missions, par score and par time

I did not have any of those skulls on.

Also, the person I was co-oping with did recieve the achievements/ progress.

I'm also having this issue. Just played three missions on legendary co op Halo 2 and didn't log the mission progress or mission complete achievements. No skulls were used. It did however give me credit for some random achievements earned within the game.

If you guys go to your career profile, does it show the missions there? For me it seems to say "12/12" for Reach, for instance, in the campaign menu (mission select) but when i check my career record on my Halo profile, it says "UNPLAYED".
I also just tried using a different Xbox Live account, not getting any achievements with that one either, I'm guessing the problem is with connecting to the Xbox Live servers and them not being reachable for our PCs to upload and register achievements/stats/progress/whichever most of the time. Did any of you change your internet connection in some way between when it works/doesn't work?

I think it's a bug. There seems to be certain missions in each game that sometimes require multiple playthroughs for it to count correctly. It's happened to me in Halo: Reach, Halo 2, and Halo 3 while playing on legendary. It's been an issue since launch.

My brother and I probably re-played Regret 4 times before it counted (Back in like 2015). I don't know if this is true but we read online somewhere that if you play with the original graphics it has a better chance of working.

I just tried the Microsoft Store version via Game Pass, achievements seem to work just fine on that version so it seems to really be an issue related to the Steam integration of the game..
Maybe we should move this over to the Halo Waypoint discussions and create an official bug report about stats not being properly synchronised with the Steam version?

Hi guys (and everyone who may stumble over this post eventually),
while some achievements remain broken for me (wihtout unlocking, including many of Halo: Reach's side achievements) I figured out what was breaking most achievements to unlock for me (actually I feel kind of dumb now, there is a support page mentioning it on halowaypoint[support.halowaypoint.com] after all) - if any of you are using a dns adblocker, try disabling that and check if progress/achievements will sync with it disabled.
