And has read the OP where I clearly state, I know its only natively in the last Halo.
Please feel free to leave a comment.
Otherwise hip-firing while running is the same as scoped and standing still.
I'm curious if maybe someone could bind a key to shift the weapon on screen to the centre or something, since it's possible to move the weapons x-y position with memory edits while the anti-cheat is disabled, though. but not seen it done yet.
(expecting the follow up question - yes, view model position is a planned addition to the settings, mentioned in the december dev blog)
And..
This was an excellent reply thank you.
To be honest.
What I meant was.. I think.. You are saying is coming.
Its not so much just moving the weapon to the middle of the screen, as holing it up to the eye.
As you would in real life when firing a rifle / pistol.
And if the weapon does not have a sight, just the motion of looking down the length of it.
And if sight, then looking through it.
Its just so glaringly lacking now Even though back when we played it on release, (the Halo games.) I realise it wasnt.
Are you saying that this mechanic is coming?
I only ask because Im in two minds to refund.
Im in no way a major FPS fanboy. Nor do I play CSGO etc.
But without this simple, and natural (now) option,- (even for a casual FPS player like me) -it all seems too "arcadey."
Thanks again for the help.
strictly speaking you don't even raise the weapon to use the scope, your character's visor links to the optics on the weapon and displays the scope inside the helmet. so you hipfire while using the scope's magnification.
Halo's weapon mechanics are innately more "arcadey" than other shooters in a lot of ways, most particularly how only 4 weapons in Halo Reach actually do extra damage to headshots.
Thank you for all the info and replies.
I really appreciate it. 💎
