Don't bother taking this mission seriously.
Go behind the Anchor 9 and you'll see a rectangular hole. The steel beams have no hit box.
Slow down your Sabre and aim its nose to a corner.
Literally wait for like 10-12min. The Anchor 9 guns will deal with Seraphs and the Phantoms.
Do something else as you wait. If you're playing on LASO solo, you should stay near your PC to make sure bad luck doesn't happen.
For the scenario when you face the Corvette, quickly dive under the corvette and you can see docked Space Banshees: quickly shoot your rockets/guns at them. Retreat to the UNSC ship.
This is a bit more hands on but, you should "cruise" next to the UNSC ship on the other side (not on the side of the ship that's facing the corvette).
The guns on the UNSC ship will deal with Seraphs and Banshees. Your goal is to survive. You could dive all the way down towards Earth and hang around there but that takes too much time, as the seraphs following you will be out of UNSC gun range.
After ALL the fighters are dealt with, go for the engines then quickly retreat to the UNSC ship.
BE VERY CAREFUL when cruising next to the UNSC ship as it can kill you by ramming you. Find a speed sweet spot.
Since you're playing on Legendary and not LASO, you can deal with most of the scenarios inside without much stress.
You should pick up the needler rifle and deal with the engineer in the hanger.
Most of Ranger Elites/Weak Elites can be dealt with the noob combo.
I don't know if you got the "Jorge Bigger Gun" achievement (or whatever its called) but if you don't, this is an opportunity.
Later in the level, there is a General Elite. I think 2 overcharged PlazPiz will take out its shield. If that's not doable, take out every enemy in the room. After that, there are Needler Rifles on the left side of the room. You can sparingly shoot those at the General. He will bob and weave. Close in the distance and if he armor locks, quickly run behind him and assassinate him.
The last part when you regroup with Jorge in the hanger after the starboard scenario (the part where you deal with the general and the Spec-Op elites),
you should do the Pelican Turret glitch:
after dealing with the enemies in the hanger room when returning from the starboard,
go to the cockpit area of the pelican. Crouch and hold RB or (Enter Vehicle Button) while crouch walking to the turret.
If you did it correctly, you should get like a glitched screen where everything appears grey, and an achievement (the one mentioned above) should pop up.
You can easily deal with the four Major Elites (a Plasma Launcher, Dual PlazRifle, ConcussRifle, and a Focus rifle?).
