but yes, buying the reach DLC will give you the MCC launcher for free.
HALO MCC IS THE LAUNCHER AND COMES FREE ACCESS WHEN YOU BUY ANY OF THE DLC PACKAGES OR STRAIGHT FULL MCC
each game is a DLC
so you can spend the 10$ per game( dlc ) as they release spend 50-60$ total ( depending what you want )
or buy the total package ( that doesnt get cheaper when you own other dlc stays that price perm )
i personally will buy the total mcc i just wanted to see how well they handled this game and if fireteam was in :P ( meaning i myself only own reach at this time. )
BUYING ANY of their games will give you access to the MCC menu as that is pretty much the central news hub they can push out whatever they need easier.
No, stop spreading false information.
He can buy Reach and still have access to Reach and the MCC main menu, he just can't play the later halo games because he doesn't own them. When give wrong information you never know how many casuals are coming across this thread and take what you said as fact, so they just close the thread and not buy the game. (most casuals dont like doing research, they'll look real quick and that's it)
You can play reach without buying MCC.
I feel like you didn't read or understand that guys post before choosing to respond. Kinda double irony for you given your response to me, my lad.
If you only buy Reach and boot it up the Menu will still say Master Chief Collection in the top left
When you start the campaign you will still be prompted as to what campaign you want to start. If you don't own the other ones they will simply be grayed out but the menu will still be there.
Reach uses the progression system that all games in the Master Chief Collection uses. They did not develop this system only for Reach.
There is also this part of what he said that you chose to ignore
Sorry bud but you simply did not have the understanding of the situation that you thought you had.
The idea that you need to get MCC to play reach is wrong because even if the same launcher, ui, etc. is used MCC is sold as a separate product. So the answer is still yes, you can buy halo reach without MCC and it will work. Whether or not they share a ui doesn't pertain to if they're sold as different products, and currently they are.
When he says 'you can only by halo reach' it's qualified with 'but you still need to get MCC in order to play it', which you don't. You're actually misunderstanding. And have dug your grave too deep to admit it seemingly.
And that is what the guy was talking about so you're still wrong. Triple irony.
So I have to ask why you didn't ask for clarity if you saw this contradiction? I believe the answer is that you didn't. You made an assumption that was clearly wrong and now you're projecting onto me with semantics that I could counter with something like "Oh but MCC is what the game will be listed under the game library so by buying Reach you are getting MCC" or " he was not using the words buy and get as an interchangeable term" but I don't care for that because at this point it's just going to turn into a ♥♥♥♥ swinging competition to see who's going to be more stubborn about openly admitting who was wrong.
Either way I'm done. You can have the last word. You can come up with some more mental gymnastics and put "Quadruple Irony" or "KillamanIrony" at the end so you can make yourself feel better.
Merry Christmas
He definitely worded it badly, why are you even debating.
Assuming a moral high ground after going on a tirade might actually make it quintuple irony.
HOHOHO and Merry Christmas. I hope your spouse gifts you grammar lessons.
