Some Achievements are not unlocking.

Halo: Reach: Kill 7 Moa during Winter Contingency.


Looking to complete 100% the halo reach camp, done this task every time I can (On the run)
but they wont unlock.

I've tried literal hundreds of times. Even tried on coop and my partner got the achievements...
So I don't know what else to do. Anyone with the same error and how did they fixed it?

So far I show 80 achievements unlocked on Steam and 83 on Xbox Live, and they're not the same ones as you. There are some major achievement problems right now.

Interesting, all those ones have unlocked perfectly fine for me and friends, only one we've had a problem with is Generous Tipper (beat par time on Tip of the Spear), it's interesting because it has unlocked on Xbox just not on Steam and I have the achievement for finishing all par times on Steam.

Tip of the Spear par time seems to be a common one, it bugged on me too. Some par scores have bugged as well. Checking on Halo Waypoint, those scores don't show up, so with all the connection issues and lag going on, I would guess this stuff isn't getting uploaded to the servers correctly.

Actually, same for literally everybody. It's at 0% on Steam right now.

I submitted A Ticket In Halo Support, They Asked For Your Unlocked And Locked Achievements List And Gamer Tag, Hope They Fix This Soon

Not to necro this post but. I myself damn near a year later still dont have these unlocked. Even after multiple tries every now and again just to see if maybe a recent patch fixed it. All to no avail. Support tickets have gone unanswered, if anyone has a fix please message me.

halo support has fixed it man

Updating your host file:
1. Open Explorer and navigate to the following location: %WinDir%\System32\Drivers\Etc
2. Right-click the “hosts” file and create a copy of it.
3. Rename the copy “hosts_old” or something similar. Move this “old” file to the desktop.
4. Open the original “hosts” file in Notepad.
5. Look for an entry of “0.0.0.0 vortex.data.microsoft.com”. If found, delete the entry and save the file. If that entry is not in your Hosts file, please let us know and revert the “old” Hosts file back to its original name and location.
6. Run MCC and let us know if your achievements unlock.
7. If you start experiencing any problems with your system or the issue persists, delete the “hosts” file in the Etc folder, rename the “hosts_old” file on your desktop back to “hosts” and place it back in the Etc folder.

Validating your files on Steam:
1. Head over to your Steam Library
2. Right-click on MCC
3. Select 'Properties'
4. Select 'Local Files'
5. Select 'Verify the Integrity of Game Files'
6. After it finishes, restart your computer.

Disable Steam Cloud synchronization for the game
1. Right-click in the Library -> Properties -> Updates
2. Delete the folder titled 976730 in your steam profile userdata folder located in: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\
3. Press Windows+R and type in %userprofile%\appdata\locallow then press Enter.
4. A folder window will open, delete the MCC folder you'll find there.
5. Attempt to earn the achievement again.

Last option fixed my problem, remember (all according to plan achievement) is bugged anyways.

Remember to enable cloud sync after u obtained all achievement

I havent tried, but I'll mark this as solution since it's the only complete answer and as I can see people looking for the same problem reached this topic.

I can confirm that the above did work for me. I tried both the host file and Validating my files before, with no success. The last option worked for me and I was able to get the last set of achievements I could get.
