Campaign checkpoint infinite death loop

Trying to play through whats got to be the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ level on legendary just for a checkpoint to save after my ship has died. Google says just let the game run and after ~20 restarts the game will realise the checkpoint is no good and will put you back 1 checkpoint further. This hasn't happened. Very annoyed, just finished the first big space fight which on legendary consists of hiding behind pieces of spacestation until the automated turrets kill all the small ships and you can finally destroy the phantoms without being insta killed.

I got stuck at that same level at legendary, I was trying to shoot those ship engines and checkpoint and death in sametime. Infinite loop..

Same here. Infinite checkpoint death loop and hitting Save and Quit just puts you back to that same checkpoint. Great bug. :(

I "think" after a certain amount of reloads the game rolls you back to an earlier checkpoint.

Happened to me. Checkpoint rolled back after a while.

Mine never rolled back, had the game running in this loop for about 30 minutes
