Also it's literally just like a 3 / 5 minute cooldown, it's not bad.
rather than joining social games, once custom game browser is a thing just join those matches as you please. hopefully its rolled out soon.
Removing it without JIP would increase the amount of quitters.
Adding JIP would speed up matchmaking times but also potentially increase quitters who don't want to stay for a nearly over or lost match.
There is no easy solution to this problem. It IS a problem however that needs fixing but Halo's gameplay doesn't really support many of the solutions that have been put forward. I personally think removing any sort of quit penalty for social games and adding JIP as an OPTION would be the lesser of any evils. Additionally, adding a white list for specific maps and gamemodes would prevent people from quitting when they get matched into a game running a map they hate.
quit ban is terrible.
