halo 2 profit of regret

need help. in chapter 8, how do you kill the profit of regret. weapons dont work. grenades dont work. power sword dont work. mele dont work. its like hes a ghost. so how do you kill him?

You board him like a vehicle and beat the living ♥♥♥♥ out of 'im.

To kill the Prophet of Regret you need to get up to him and hold E which will make the Master Chief hold onto the chair then you use the melee button to punch Regret. After about 3 hits he'll use an ability that knocks you off of his chair, you just need to keep latching onto it and melee him until he dies.

It's basically a QTE event. You gotta get close enough to get the prompt to board him, then mash Q. You gotta do this around three or four times (can't remember, I died so many times in my Legendary run, I lost count lmao) until he drops dead. The real issue here are the endless Honor Guards and Grunts that keep spawning from the lower levels, so I recommend using a plasma pistol and a headshot weapon (I prefer the Carbine, since it's less wasteful in ammo, and there's a bit more around due to the previous encounter to this). Your Marine allies, in best case scenario, will only be helpful in the very entrance before they're sic'd by the sword Honor Guards; I guess the best out of this is that you can pick up any power weapons you *should* have given them before this fight, so you can use them yourself.

This is odd because I boarded him like ten times on heroic, and he still would not die.

Bring some Deus Ex "Immersive Sim" into the Halo universe.

Honestly wouldn't be mad if they went that route with a Halo spinoff game post-Infinite where you play an ONI agent or something.

You can actually do this. Board him and throw a grenade at the same time and the grenade will stick to him and damage him. Sometimes you have to do this because for some reason he doesn't die from just beating him.

hold E then mele (punch). after 3 or 4 times he dies. i didnt know you had to keep holding E while you mele him. thanx to whoever told me to do this.
