How is it that some people already have all of the achievements for MMC on Steam?

I was browsing someones profile and it showed that they had all of them, but the rest of the games have not been released yet?

SAM, Steam Achievement Manager, it allows you to unlock or reset Steam achievements.

Ya pretty much, some people have some arguably legitimate reasons for using SAM, many likely don't have any reasons for using it.

if you have a microsoft account that played MCC on console it ports all your achievements to steam

microsoft butting in again...first the annoying xbox live sync, now this

If people have played on Xbox, and gotten them, they will automatically get them on steam if they use the same account, but there is a cheat or glitch you can do to get all of the achievements, not sure if its been patched yet or not.

this^^^ my bf had MCC on xbox and as soon as he linked his microsoft account it gave him all the achievements he had on the xbone

Echoing what others have been saying - I've got the MCC on console and the moment H2A was released on PC it pretty much unlocked everything I had already scored, and vice versa. If you have the Xbox Console Companion on your PC it mimics the Xbox desktop, so you can see what you've unlocked in regards to artwork and such. (And y'know - some of their games work on both console and pc, like Halo Wars 2, so you can play it on pc and unlock achievements. Just not steam ones.)

In saying all that, the PC port here is definitely a bit janky. About half a dozen or so achievements I have on H2 haven't unlocked here.
