Halo 3 helmet HUD

Is there going to be an option to toggle off the blue outlines? For example, in Bioshock 2 you could toggle the helmet outline.

Better than a toggle, a slider, there's a slider for it in the Metroid Prime games an my favorite setting is to have them but very faint, having them imrpoves style and immersion, but having them too opac just hides stuff, so you gotta fin that sweet spot where you see them when you look at them, but don't when you don't, something that'd be extra nice would be a second slider so when you are in combat they fade, so you can have them go from faint, to gone.

I honeslty liked it more when there were no blue outlines on the screen like Halo 1&2

I would much prefer it if the Halo 3 helmet HUD was not there.. is anybody aware of a quick and easy way to get rid of it?

Just wondering if anybody has made or found a mod for this? I just started Halo 3 for the first time, and the blue lines are extremely distracting.

Don't think so. I also got used to it somewhat, still would prefer it without the outlines but it is manageable.

Yeah I hate helmet outlines, like in Metroid Prime.

Unfortunately there is no fix, so all that is left is getting used to them.

Yeah your best bet would be mods. Though you'd have to learn how modding works for Halo 3 other than dropping files to their respective folder. Can't edit the hud without doing a whole lot of other stuff.

Some games just aren't very moddable. So when I found out that there are zero mods to remove the helmet outlines, knowing that many people are bothered by its, I just figured it's probably impossible (or insanely hard) to mod out.
