From beginning to end, the only advice I can give is to take the shortcuts and when you can't take the inside paths, hug the walls on the outside instead of going through the middle.
As for the end, when you to the part where you see the ship, get to the barricades and jump out of the warthog and go on the outside of them. It stops basically all the damage from the guns and leads you to the ramp. Extremely easy and quick. No fighting involved.
Concerning the jump, AFAIK, you can back up as much as possible and gun it and still make the jump. As I said up above, if you don't clear the shortcut ramps, just take the outside paths rather than the inside cuz you will be swarmed.
Sorry for the bad explanation. I'm more of show you how rather than tell you how kind of guy, lol.
I tried it again and beat it the first try post-complaining. Funny enough, I discovered the barricade solution by survival instinct. 20 something seconds left. I think I just needed to vent. Any future playthroughs, the end of Halo:CE is when I go up the elevator.
1 - No response.
2 - This issue is in cool-down, you are not allowed to talk about it.
3 - We've analysed the issue and we have come to the conclusion that the bug is in fact a feature, and the game is working as intended.
4 - Postums creates a twitter pool, then deletes it in a fit of rage when the result does not validate his opinions.
5 - We're looking into it.
6 - We are discussing this internally but we can't say what we have planned.
Well, yes, it is. You don't have mid-air control at all, so you'll want to make sure you jump right and pray for a happy landing. Only vehicle with mid-air control is the Ghost, but, well, it's not relevant to the discussion.
The Warthog Run may seem like a simple section you can simply rush through and worry of nothing. For the most part, it's true, but the section still needs your attention. It's not difficult to choose other routes to take. At least, it didn't take me long to realize that the middle wasn't always the best option.
I think that you'd deduce over all those 25 attempts that it just doesn't work like that. I've played through the Maw a thousand times, and I can say that all those issues you described are really you misunderstanding or unknowning how the game works or wants you to think. Just take some time to get acquainted with what's thrown at you, deduce what works and what doesn't over multiple attempts and formulate your scheme. Like I did. Like many others did.
Or, he's simply stating his confusion and is looking for answers.
