Gravemind on legendary is literally aimbot enemies
I do not mind a challenge, however when the challenge is borderline impossible it's stupid.

The grunts have aimbot needlers in the first room, they are more annoying than the brutes, my needlers don't do jack. Anyone who got the par time on legendary well GG, because this is ridiculous

The issue is h2 has the worst checkpoint system I've ever seen in a game, the game refuses to trigger checkpoints even if a single grunt is alive sometimes it will.

I never realized I was playing Dark souls

Halo 2 had a really rushed development cycle so that's why the balancing on legendary is so bad. The other games are a lot more fair on legendary.

The balancing/difficulty in general is pretty bad, it has the awful doctrine that a lot of games used, and still has.

Difficulty = Everyone else is a bullet sponge, and you are made of paper.

This just makes it an incredibly frustrating and boring slog, which basically boils down to constantly hiding, staying in one spot, and trying to cheese wherever you can.

In my experience Heroic is alright most of the time, though suffers from the bullet sponge problem, and some levels are just INSANE. Let alone trying to do them on Legendary.

The problem is, anything below Heroic is just too easy, and hence becomes boring on account of that. So you either have boring and frustrating, or boring and no challenge.

Thankfully modern games seem to be moving away from this awful practice and actually make enemies tougher by giving them different move sets, or at the very least, making them do more damage whilst NOT buffing their own health.

I'm trying to get the monopilized achievement. My time in CE is 2 and half hours, 4 hours in h2 and I can't seem to beat it.

Halo 2 has numerous issue's, the RNG spawns dictate if you survive or not and it's frustrating. The second behavior that h2 breaks is that the enemies in some levels aren't scripted to remain in one area, thus they will chase you down to the next area, I have zero idea what this game means with it's design.

Gravemind definitely gave me the hardest time out of any H2 mission

Gravemind is easily the hardest mission yeah, especially the beginning section really screws you.

Lol it's absolutely nothing like Dark Souls... DS saves every time you pick up an item or come out of the menu

No, that's not how Dark Souls saves. The game saves when you reach a bonfire. How do I know? I beat all three games.

I beat all three too (on Playstation)... the game also saves whenever you pick up an item or come out of the menu, and if you die, you can pick up your remains and regain any lost xp. You can also still sit at a bonfire with enemies around.

So no, it's nothing like Dark Souls, and people should stop referring to Dark Souls as if it invented infrequent checkpoints.

I literally had no idea bots aimed.

this. but u ought to just look it up because there's always a method to get past any set of enemies on the first try.
