cant play halo 2.

is there really no fix for this? i feel like i have tried everything. it just wont accept the fact that i downloaded halo 2.

Just double checking; you went into "Options & Career" -> "Settings" -> "Gameplay" -> "Change Installed Games" and made sure that Halo 2 campaign / multiplayer are checked? Correct?

I'm having the same issue on Gamepass. Everything is installed, but it continues to say that Halo 2 is not installed. I have no issue playing Halo 1 or Reach.

Did you go on your Steam page for the game and under DLC, checkoff Halo 2 and its other DLC below it?

im facing the same problem. tried reinstalling halo 2 and MCC but nothing works. this is pissing me off

I have the solution. Had the same problem.

What i did: First i installed the MCC again. Because i have a weak internet connection, this was no fun. After reinstallation, i've tried again and it does not work.

The reason is. If you cannot download the whole MCC without sleep mode or pausing, the game will occur with errors and not start.

Go to the Steam libary -> Settings -> Repair function. Let the check run. At the end of my check i had to install 2GB of data again. After this, i startet the game and it runs.

i DID already try this, but i did it again, and now its downloading something? i hope this works.


update: it finished checking the files, and decided it needed to re-download all of halo 2. this is what happened last time.

I installed the whole games again. Means any content the mcc has actual. I've taken anything from the DLC checklist. Then viewing integrity and it downloaded 2GB. After this, i could play.

Don't miss the check box for DLCs. I have activated any DLC, language pack or multiplayer at this point.
