There was a big controversy with the band causing the band to break up over this specific song which 343 was unable to get the rights to it when they remastered it. wasnt 343s fault this time
Shouldn't a file replacement work in theory?
I never played Halo 1's Anniversary variant, the graphics didn't feel right to me personally. But Halo 2 Anniversary's Graphical update really looks impressive, and faithful to original more importantly.
From what I played of it in the flights, I definitely feel like Halo 2's remaster was much better with that stuff visually. It maintained the atmosphere well, while keeping it in line with the more modernized interpretations of forerunner architecture. The missions on New Mombasa also make nods to ODST in design which is cool, but I kinda wish they kept the red skies from the classic version of Metropolis as well. It made it look more apocalyptic, like a proper alien invasion.
