Halo CE Campaign: Does quickstart let you start with classic graphics and audio?
Never played the Halo campaigns before, and was wanting to start with Halo CE displaying its "Classic" graphics and audio rather than the re-mastered.

I know you can toggle between the two graphics styles with the press of a button, but I wanted to make sure I begin the campaign with classic graphics enabled. I saw that if you go into "Missions" on the campaign menu there's settings options to change graphics and audio before you start the mission. But this setting didn't seem to store itself when I changed it then quit out the Missions menu.

If I want to begin the campaign with classic graphics and audio, do I have to start my game from the Missions menu? Or can I do it with "Quickstart"? (I haven't actually tried Quickstart myself, but for some odd reason would prefer to start the campaign by selecting that...)

Also, can you switch between the original and re-mastered audio with a button press in-game?

There is a master preference option in your graphics settings menu. One limitation to the keystroke graphics switching is that it's disabled during cutscenes--you can only switch before or after during gameplay. Annoying that, but a fairly small annoyance.

Do you mean when you go to "Options & Career" on the main menu? That just has a setting to change whether you want "Performance", "Original" or "Enhanced" graphics for the entire MCC... That's just slight modern tweaks to all the games, not a change of actual graphical style, right? I have it set to "Enhanced".

Is there something else I'm missing here?

Late reply but under gameplay I found an option that says it switches the graphics from the anniversary edition to the original However it looks like this still didn't change the graphics at all for me.

Update: You were on the right track. Starting it from the mission selection screen is the way to go. Quickstart locks you in the anniversary edition regardless of what you've picked.

Yep, that's what I found to be the case.
