Turn off shield popup?

Is there a way to turn off this pop-up that tells me that my shields are down and that I need to take cover? It's not actually making it easier to see what's going on. I know it's an old game and things like that were okay back then, but a remaster would be a good opportunity to make stuff like that optional.

Wow, I've either got gud or those messages only show up for a while, like tutorial messages. That's fine.

They are just tutorial messages. You shouldn't really be getting these after Cairo Station.

They actually pop-up from time to time through out the game but only on easy ans normal. In heroic and legendary they don't pop-up at all.

I see! I had Mass Effect 2 flashbacks, where hip-firing would give you a huge pop-up that you're supposed to use the aim button, obfuscating anything I'd want to aim at.
