Combat Evolved not installing

For some reason whenever I try to install Halo:CE it won't completely download. When I install it when I am not playing Halo MCC and it reaches 6.5 GB and it says the download was canceled even though I did nothing to cause that to happen and when I am playing Halo while downloading Combat Evolved, it just stays at 100% and still says that it hasn't been installed. Has anyone else been having this issue and does anyone know a possible cause and solution to this issue.

Do you have enough room on your PC?

Yes, I currently have 169 GB out of 911 GB. So lack of storage is definitely not the cause of this issue.

You know how to properly install it from the options menu, right?

Yes I do, go to the dlc menu in properties or go to the in game installation menu.

One thing I should actually mention now that I think about it, is that I had previously uninstalled Combat Evolved to save some storage space (although in hindsight that was probably unnecessary) and only now when I try to reinstall it does this issue occur.

Okay, my guess it that the game is still registering that it is still installed.

To check to see if this the solution, go to the folder where the games are downloaded. Go to the folder for Halo: The Master Chief collection, and delete the folder that says Halo 1 and see if it fixes the problem. And then reinstall it again obviously.

Might be a long shot, but maybe try verifying game files too. That's fixed a couple issues I've had with other games.

Okay so I tried deleting the halo 1 folder and installing again and it still didn't work, now instead of the in game download menu staying at 100% it just says its not installed.

I think another thing that's worth mentioning is that I have a few map mods and custom firefight modes. Maybe they could be causing this issue or maybe it's something else.

Yeah I think I'll try reinstalling CE later but without the mods

Has anyone else been experiencing this issue, and if so have they found a solution. I'm getting kind of agitated.
