because I worked with them and ported maps models to Halo Custom Edition. Extracted every Halo Game and there are 256, 512, 1024 Texture for landscape each model whatever.
The XBOX 360 run the Games on 1280x720 Screen Resolution with reduced Graphic Settings more Medium than Ultra. So on the more powerful XBOX ONE the Screen Resolution is much higher and the Graphic Quality, too.
On a 4k screen you will notice the difference if the game use 256, 512, 1024 Texture or 4096x4096 Texture. On a 4k screen I can clearly the difference with Ultra HD Texture pack or without speaking about Ubisoft Games or other Publisher that release Ultra HD Texture packs or Modder who redraw the Texture in higher resolution
Those projects were high quality upsamples of the in game textures. The original textures for these Halo games are likely higher than what was put in game for the Xbox. Also the upscaled texture for Doom had lots of manual touching up after the upscaling process.
