Will SPV3 be available on Steam?
What the title says.... the mod for Halo CE.

Its a different game at its core(with the HD upgrade and all), so it wouldn't even work with it, let alone be on steam.

No. SPV3 uses custom edition (and the opensauce mod for custom edition)
So far nothing suggests that either of these features will come to the MCC release.

However, depending on how they approach mod support, we could be looking at similar scale mods years from now for the MCC games.

Having spv3 on steam would be cool.

No, and why would it? It’s made on custom edition.

Probably not.

Cant wait for the SPV3.2 update. Not gonna lie im more excited for that, than i am Combat Evolved vanilla on PC. (steam)

Doesn't need to be on Steam. But I hope that it will support Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary, which is coming on Steam as part of the MCC.

Well yeah, the lot is coming to steam, but we aren't getting the old custom edition.
Mods will have to be built new, and probably won't work exactly the same way when it comes to stuff like what opensauce did.

SPV3 uses custom extensions exclusive to their installer/installation; Open Sauce (which is also an enhanced/modded version of Custom Edition) by itself will not run SPV3.1/SPV3.2 files/maps (in fact, the map files themselves are not .map files but .yelo files). A lot of sacrifices had to be made for SPV3 to work, most consol/devmode commands do not work at all in SPV3, and going outside the map boundaries causes glitches/issues that never happen in normal Custom Edition.

Basically even if the new engine for Halo 1 in the Master Chief Collection could allow you to copy and paste map files themselves from Halo Custom Edition and would work flawlessly, SPV3 would still need to be recreated from scratch.

No because that was for Combat Evolved, not MCC
At launch that would be a big no.
However 343 are looking in to Custom Edition support for Halo 1 Anniversary which would still default to a No unless the mod creators felt it would be worth porting over.

If 343i give as "Halo Custom Edition Anniversary"
-> There will be much better mods than SPV3 for sure
