Is it me or is that one room in The Library next to impossible?
I'm playing through the H:CE campaign for the first time. Generally pretty good although the difficulty fluctuates wildly. Set it to Heroic difficulty because I've been playing Reach nonstop since launch, but now in CE I got stuck on one bridge on the Silent Cartographer for easily over a half hour. Right now I'm having major difficulties with a certain room in The Library; you probably know the one. Spark flies off to unlock a security door, and you're stuck in a small room with a health pack and two chutes dropping Flood till he gets back.
Is it even possible on Heroic?
Seriously. The room is the size of a shoebox and there is zero cover. I went in at full health, with an assault rifle and a shotgun, both with full ammo. I tried camping out in a corner. Insta-dead. I tried running around. Insta-dead. There are so many infection forms and shotgun zombies that you have to constantly stay moving, and the room is so open and tight that you instantly become target practice for the AR and plasma rifle zombies. I have no idea how you're supposed to survive that fight without lowering the difficulty.

Hide in a corner and strafe/barely peek over the structure and fire your shotgun. Also don't forget your shotgun also has pretty decent range, oh and use grenades too.

It is beatable though, even on Legendary. You can look at my MCC achievements if you want proof.

Actually, if you enter the room, hide in the corner next to the closed gate without shooting your gun, the flood won't follow you to the corner.

Just wait about a minute for the gate to open and later it will give you a checkpoint.

After that, you can clear out all the remains from the chute (there's allot of them so watch out).

Also, there are few other hiding spots that you can prevent the flood from spawning if you're doing the par time.

When you take the first elevator, there will be a closed gate with 3 chutes and a medkit next to it. A text will pop up and tell you to defend yourself. Quickly get on top of the middle ramp and sit there until the 343 comes to the gate: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2019206367

Another spot where you go to the second elevator, going to tunnels and there will be a gate with 3 flood combat forms standing. Quickly kill them and jump on the small ledge from the side of the wall: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2019206380 That carrier form right there cannot move because I have the "high" ground.

As they said just hide in the corner. Id suggest go look at some speedrun strats. Theyre easy and can really enhance the casual experience. But yeah get used to frustration, the difficulty really spikes from the Libary onwards

Beat it solo Legendary like 20 minutes ago. I hid in the alley next to the door, spamming rockets/frags/plasmas and praying.

it would be better if the game was brought to its original state because something has definitely been changed instead of finding excamotage checkpoints are broken in the old halo it was enough to go back to create a save here it is often not given by cleaning the room level truth and reconciliation is an anal birth not to mention the double graphics engine makes you shoot against the walls or makes you hit from behind the walls because the graphics take the old version polygons nerfated weapons for some strange reason assault rifle is garbage now some times you fall into texture and a persistent fog accompanies the new graphics engine which makes everything out of focus
