Halo CE, zooming and weapon switching doesn't work
I've been having a very strange issue only in Halo CE where when I hit the zoom button it toggles super fast between zoomed and unzoomed. Also with weapon switching it randomly switches back. It's like these buttons have some turbo button stuck on it. This happens with two of my xbox controllers and the M&K controls so I have no idea what is causing this. Other games work fine with my controllers and keyboard, heck Halo Reach works just fine so what gives?

Not sure about the weapon swap issue but CE has a cool little thing (might be other halo games aswell it's been years since i've owned a xbox) but if you HOLD the zoom button and then let go it will zoom in until you let go so maybe your zoom button is broken?

With the controller or keyboard the zoom button does a rapid fire zoom toggle on off where for 1 frame I see it zoomed out and for the second I see it zoomed in. The screen flashes like crazy when I do this.

weapon pickup, zoom glitch, anything else that requires click/hold. Windows update solved it for me running win 8.1 at least.

Hmm, I do have a windows update that I haven't done yet. I'll try that and see. I also just uninstalled the game so between these two things hopefully this will get fixed.

Reinstalling didn't do anything but updating my pc and restarting made it work again. I have a feeling that restarting my PC is what did it.

There are a few issues on CE relating to not being on the newest update of Windows
