Mod to quick-save anywhere?

Anyone interested in making a mod to be able to quick-save anywhere between checkpoints?

Levels get really tedious replaying the same sections just to get past something difficult. One of the best things in Halo SPV3 (just about everything in SPV3 is great BTW) is that you can do this, quick-save anywhere. It's a refreshing way to play.

Does anyone know how to use the Halo Checkpoint Manager? The repo doesn't seem to have instructions and after I ran it, it didn't appear to be able to do anything.

The way it used to work was you start the Checkpoint Manager and then you also start Halo. You need to go fully into one of the games and start walking around on the map (not just sitting on the main menu or watching a cutscene), and then Alt-Tab over to the Checkpoint Manager. If it hooked in correctly, there should be button you can click to take a snapshot. I think you might have to start up the Checkpoint Manager as admin for it to hook in properly (right-click Run as Administrator in Windows Explorer).

I think a couple months ago they released a new version where you can do a bunch more stuff inside an in-game overlay. I guess you might need to sign up for the Discord walled garden to find out about how that works?

Your post plus season 2 of the TV show kinda makes me want to go back and play through the games again. So much fun.
