Why do the jackals have yellow shields?

I played the OG halo pc and it didn't have yellow shield jackals

It's because it's the gearbox port. I vaguely remember them having purple? Shields in the original, or was it green, lol. But ya, it's because it's not the OG Xbox release.

Yep. They used the gearbox port because the og xbox game didn't support online multiplayer

OG PC release has the flaw too (might be in another color tho).
They're supposed to change hue depending on charge / damage. :)
Apparently they ARE working on this one.
