CE: Assault On The Control Room

This level took me nearly two hours to finish on Heroic - I thought it would never end! I did have some bad luck with a couple of checkpoints and I also ran into some ammo replenishment problems where I had to backtrack, but I can't believe the par is set as 15mins on this level.

If I wasn't so exhausted, I could probably take off quite a bit of time doing it again but I was wondering how long this mission took for other people? I really enjoyed it despite quite a few samey interiors.

Assault on the control room is, in my opinion, the second longest mission in halo 1.

1. Two Betayals
2. Assault on Control Room
3. The Library

Assault in the Control Room is one of my favorite levels. Going through the level regularly without the skips and glitches will usually take me around 1 hour plus on legendary. There's no way you can beet the par time on 15 minutes. You have to use the Banshee Skip or the First Bridge Skip to achieve this. I haven't look any videos on YouTube if it's possible without those skips.

For whatever reason, my checkpoints stopped working when you find the first warthog. I got all the way to the giant pyramid structure where you need to go up, and accidentally died to a hunter while I wasn't paying attention. Put me all the way back at that checkpoint by the first warthog.
