*) Which basically is only the launcher for the games.
They are absolutely correct. Any one of the games can be purchased piecemeal (as they become available); the MCC is just a launcher.
I see, now. But that was absolutely not clear to me from the info available at the store page.
The store page indicates that you need "Halo: The Master Chief Collection" base game in order to use the "Halo: Combat Evolved" DLC. And the former is shown with a price of 39,99€.
I think the OP's point is that the store page--which is all that the vast majority of any game's potential consumer base is likely to engage with--is unclear on this count.
On this one thing, I'm inclined to agree--they could've done a better job spelling out the piecemeal availability of the games on the store page.
On pretty much everything else (including "I paid for a COLLECTION--where muh gamez?!"), I think basic reading comprehension should save people from misunderstanding what's on offer/available.
Definitely correct. I only have CE. I didn't need to buy Reach or pay for anything else.
You can say it is a kind of "DOSBox" or "ScummVM" to play the good old Halo games.
And you only need to have the old games (which are purchasable in store)
The "Emulator" is for free in every title included!
