Main game vs. Dlcs: What content does each include?
Reading the Store pages I'm a little confused. It sounds like the main game includes all the Halo titles up to 4 as a unified campaign with the story progressing from REACH onwards. But then each HALO title also has a DLC that talks about experiencing the campaign of that game, plus some performance improvements.

I doubt they could sell 9€ performance update DLCs for a 40€ game. Can you guys help me understand what you get with the main game, and what with the DLC?

Buying the "DLC" enables you to play just that game. Buying the entire MCC will give you access to everything from Reach all the way to 4 after they release.

IE; if you wanted Halo 1 and 2, you can just purchase 1 and 2 (When it releases).

You can buy 6 games at 40€ or each game separately at 9,99. Each game is a DLC that you will download when it becomes available. So with 40€ you get all the DLCs, while one DLC is only one game

There is no DLC for you if you buy the base 40€ game. So just buy the 40€ game and you have everything.

You can also purchase a single game separately by buying it as "DLC". Like if you only want to play Reach, you can do so...

Thank you for the near simultaneous answers, everyone! It makes sense, but the thing that threw me off was that according to the store page you need the base game to play the DLCs, so them having overlapping content didn't make sense to me.

Thanks again!

Just to add on the "DLC" is just the individual games. Here are your options:

For 40 euros you can buy all of the games including Halo:Reach, Halo:CE/Halo:CEA, Halo 2/Halo 2A, Halo 3, Halo 3:ODST and Halo 4

or

pick and choose which ones you want from the list with each for 9.99

any performance updates or bug patches will be performed automatically
