How to add friends on mcc

I've sent friend requests but nobody knows where to find them. anyone else have this issue?

i would change my xbox name to my steam name but this name literally got banned on xbox, microsoft is absolute trash

I have the same problem doing it through steam on PC. Anyone else mad at all the people saying it is easy? IT AINT);(!!!!

the friend requests in game go to the xbox profile. press windows key + G, or check in the Console Companion app if you turned off game bar for some reason.

the friend requests in game dont work for me, i have to use the xbox app.

they really need to make adding people easier in mcc.

yes but this is steam. why not use the friend system that everybody actually likes and uses for literally everything else

I did the windows plus g. No option for friend request. I click on a player's profile and click on send friend request nothing happens.

I played Rift and couldn't click on a user sending him a friend request on Steam. M$ uses their own services, not that surprising.

They should tie it in though, since I can "connect" accounts and friends through the Xbox app.

Because the MCC doesn't use steam profiles - it uses the Xbox networking.
you can however invite and join people via steam from the overlay, if you have their steam name.
