Comprehensive list of 'broken' campaign achievements

First of all, I created this thread somewhat as a 'Jira Ticket' for the 343 Developers to look into:

In several threads on this forum, I've read people talk about that some achievements are broken, and that some even randomly unlocked when they shouldn't have. Of course, I cannot verify all of these reports, but what I can verify is what I've experienced myself.

Since I already played Halo: Reach on the Xbox (on a different Xbox Live account) years ago, I figured: Why not do it differently this time around, and aim for 100% achievement completion. As I set out my 'journey', I quickly figured that several achievements are indeed not unlocking when they should've unlocked.

As a software engineer myself, I didn't want to give up straight away and decided to retry and still unlock every one of these (even with multiple different and sometimes unconventional approaches), but so far without any luck (I've been 'debugging' these for hours already).

Please note that this list will be updated as I progress through the campaign (and unlock each achievement for that level), and that it only contains those achievements that I have personally validated to be problematic. This prevents 'false positives' when someone else reports an achievement to be 'broken' when they are (for example) attempting to unlock an 'normal or higher' achievement on 'easy' difficulty.

Either way, without further ado, the following list serves as a 'bug report' of those (campaign) achievements that I can pretty much guarantee are not unlocking as intended.

They've Always Been Faster
Halo: Reach: Clear Winter Contingency without setting foot in a drivable vehicle.

There are reports of this unlocking 'just fine', but no success on my end. Neither in game, nor on Steam or Xbox Live.

What About Bob?
Halo: Reach: Find and eliminate one of the hidden Ranger Commander Elites.

Mind the Skill Gap
Halo: Reach: Observe the logo of a buttoned-up mining company.

This one should be literally unmissable. Fun Halo-2 reference, though.

Generous Tipper
Halo: Reach: Beat the par time on Tip of the Spear.

Unlocked in-game and on Xbox Live, but the Steam version of the achievement is still locked.

Wake Up Buttercup
Halo: Reach: Destroy the Corvette's engines & escort in under 3 minutes during Long Night of Solace

Attempted on Heroic multiple times. Timed runs from the end of cutscene until the 'land on corvette'-dialogue: 2:43, 2:26, 1:57. Guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xaSkLlipQJ0

No Picnic
Halo: Reach: Observe a grizzy scene on New Alexandria.

I realize this achievement is actually near the start of the level 'Exodus', which takes part in the city of New Alexandria, and does not refer to the level of the same name. Guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4fjVl9lc0Sk

Front Page News
Halo: Reach: Find me in the club.

Stick With It...A Little Longer
Play a multiplayer or co-op game at least 3 months after your first game.

It's been days since the game released, not months. This shouldn't have unlocked as soon as it did.

Yep, I've got an active support ticket due to this one not unlocking. I've tried well over a dozen times on every difficulty- and just to be sure I killed the marines on my falcon.

This is the one that annoys me the most, I got this one 3 days after I first launched the game, I never played Halo with this account, so, it is clearly bugged! Do you think they can lock the achievment again (On the Xbox Profile/Steam) and then unlock it again in due time?

I've been trying to get the we need a bigger ship achievement but it doesn't show up everytime I do it

The Mystery achievement is also massively broken. That and Generous Tipper are the only achievements that didn't pop for me as soon as I did what I had to do. I got lucky though as Generous Tipper popped an hour or so after I did it, and Mystery achievement popped a day after I did it.

The complete the campaign in three hours on Legendary seems REALLY bugged. My co-op partner got the achievement granted with the player ID card. But i didnt receive squat...

How did you get killed by "The Guardians" by the way? I've been trying to figure out how to do that with no luck.

I DIDN'T TRAIN TO BE A PILOT - Doesn't unlock on neither xbox app nor steam.
GENEROUS TIPPER - Unlocks on xbox app, but doesn't unlock on steam.

"Mystery Achievement" is broken on Steam as well. You get it for naming a custom game file as ".fortune". I unlocked it on Xbox Live, but not on Steam.

Already done so, don't think I'm going to be focusing much on achievements for a while now until patches start coming out to hopefully fix these things.

even though I explicately told them in the bug report that I had followed every method that I could from said link. It's like they don't even read the damn bug reports.

Sword base: destroy 2 enemy vehicle with one orbital strike. I have watch couple videos of this and did it same way but won't unlock.

As for achievement mentioned above, only one that i haven't tryed is "no picnic". Everyting else i manage to unlock.

I wonder why some people are having issues. I've had zero problems unlocking any of these personally..
