Is Auto Aim That Bad?

I really want to get this for PC I never liked Halo games to be honest, Mainly cause the controller lol. I perfer to play Mouse & Keyboard but, I heard this game has a bad issue with Auto aim cause people are exploiting controller use in Multiplayer.. Is this true?

This port is by no means perfect. For now everyone who has it, suffers from various issues with sound.

Reason for that is because 343, when they were porting Halo Reach, had to basically rip out entire sound engine from Reach, which broke codecs. They are going to improve the situation and they told us that this will be improved upon after game's release. This game by no means was coded to run on PC hardware and a lot of it was tied to framerate.

I bring this up because they did what they could before release to allow us to play the game with unlocked framerate. If you encounter jittery movement, stutters or anything of the sort, lock the game to 60FPS, because game does not interpolate animations properly past 60FPS. It will not feel right. Unlocked framerate option is /EXPERIMENTAL/ in the video settings and you use it at your own risk.

There is normal FOV Slider and Vehicle FOV Slider. You can also enable mouse smoothing if mouse feels too jittery. You may consider gun models being too large, just use Classic crosshair setting to lower it below center so it looks better. It may be weird at first, but that's how I play it right now on KB+M.

If you encounter issues with matchmaking, DISABLE RELAYS in settings/network.

By any means, if you don't mind couple of issues, buy it, but do keep in mind all the issues you may encounter, will be worked on and ARE worked on right as we speak.

Thanks for giving me this information, I just hate putting my money in pockets of devs that think it's okay to release games in this kinda state. It saddens me that there is over 90k people that are playing and leaving positive reviews like there is nothing wrong with the game cause, "It's Halo" Thank you for being honest though. I think I may take the dive and see how it is. Refund policy is there for reasons I guess.

Again you should still see what others have to say. I haven't had issue with playing online at all. I am by no means good at mutliplayer but it's nowhere near as bad as some people make it out to be.

343 also stated that they are thinking of opt-in feature to probably segregate playerbase by input they use.

They aint being honest, This is pathetic. your money your time to invest in the game, I couldnt care less if you buy the game or not but that aim assist is a problem is BS keyboard and mouse is far superior

Also if you do find aim assist for controllers that bad, remember that you can always refund the game. Please though, keep in mind that any changes 343 will make in future to this game, it will be first beta tested and consulted with community.

Everything you hear is true. Im really good with a mouse and keyboard for shooters on PC but you cant even come close to competing against the aim assist on a controller. I got 2 kills the entirety of a 25 miniute multiplayer game until I switched over to a controller and got 31 kills wining the match. It is absolutly broken and far to easy to exploit

Yeah, just try using controller - mouse users will definitely reap you a new one. Aim assist won't help. I mostly play on controller, but for competitive MP I use mouse exclusively.
Remember that people who go to forums to complain about 'pls aim assist ruins my day' are vocal minority, and it doesn't represent any issue. Mostly just people who can't use mouse properly and can't take it as their own fault.

Watch streamers on Twitch, specifically pros and respectable players efficient at both inputs, and you will eventually learn controller is stronger than mnk. It just is, no matter how hard the apologists on here and elsewhere want to argue against it. With that being said, I still bought the game and will still play it with a mnk. Content aside from the competition playlists are easily worth the asking price.
