Controller Aim Assist is Literally Aimlock.
Plugged in my controller because I thought people complaining about controller aimlock was over exaggerated. But no, it is ridiculous. Not going to touch ranked until it's fixed. What a disappointing experience. I barely know how to use a controller but that sh*t was broken, I can only imagine what it is like if you have been using a controller for a long time.

I've played hundreds of hours of halo on a console. The advantage that controllers give to people when playing against PC players is unreal. Most modern FPS games will segregate the population based on their input device. They don't need to straight remove aim assist.

If you want to play Reach with a controller then go play it on a console. FPS players on PC understand how much more control you have when using a M&K over a pad. People are going to use a controller because the skill gap between a great and horrible controller player is so low that anyone can make the jump, where the gap between a great M&K player and a horrible one is astronomical so if people are using controllers it's because its easier for them to perform well against other players, not that it's how halo is 'designed' to be played. Saying halo is designed to be played with a controller neglects that Halo CE and 2 were both released on PC.
Microsoft's own research contradicts your personal anecdote, which means absolutely nothing. PC players dominate console players.

Ya'll are complaining that it feels like aimbot or whatever but the reality is, Halo is traditionally a controller-based game, and this PC release, like Destiny, is going to be one of those edge-case PC releases where a large portion of the population is going to prefer to use a controller, because that's how you play Halo.

And this is what playing Halo with a controller is supposed ot feel like. They're never going to remove it, half the population would refund because it wouldn't be Halo anymore.

Well then go play it on console? Dumbest arguement I've seen on here seriously people wouldn't refund if they changed it because this isn't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ console you smooth brain.

IIRC bungie has significantly dialed down the sticky aiming in favor of increasing bullet magnetism since they left Halo and started Destiny. So aiming is less sticky/tracking (but its still there) but bullets will curve like 3 feet to hit your head.

You might be right, but in truth more magnetism is so much more beneficial to sticky aim, seeing as sticky aim screws with your ability to react to changing circumstances. If anything, pad players should be even stronger in Destiny if that's the case. So why does OP think pad players are unbeatable here but weak in Destiny?

Jesus, these controller plebs are so in denial it is crazy. They are so scared to admit their aim assist carries them. I played console for years before PC and could of gone pro on CoD if I wanted. The aim assist on this game is broken whether you like it or not. Sure, that might of been how Halo always was, that just means you guys had your hands held for years and didn't realize.

They're not going to segregate the population, they're going to do what Apex Legends, Fortnite, and Destiny do on PC: leave it in exactly as is and let people play with who they want to play with, because they know that ultimately in real competitive play, like top 5%, kbam will always win out; and if they remove it they will render the game unplayable to anyone who wants to use a controller and have it feel the way it's supposed to feel, as a Halo game.

Shadowrun has no relevance to Halo. Harebrained Schemes didn't use a "sticky" targeting system or "bending bullets", I might as well throw up comparisons for Half-Life 2/Doom.

i used to be a pro level player back in 2011. I was insane back then and still kick some ass despite using kb&m. I would say that controller aim assist is fair.

After using m&kb, i ll never go back again.

If you aren't able to run circles around gamepad users with a K&M then you're thinking like a console player. I see this all the time in game with players staring in one direction never looking over their shoulder. Ive used both control methods and I think controller users are either smoking crack or have no extensive fps experience. It was a different story in the beta because K&M was flat out broken, its not anymore.

It's incredible how much controller babies run defense on their ability to curve bullets and aimlock on people's heads. It was needed on the console because you wouldn't be able to hit ♥♥♥♥, but on PC there's literally no excuse because now we have KBM.
