halo CE and halo 2 had aim assist.
i fail to see the problem considering they are a feture for the game, and considering 343 want to do crossplay in the future, there is really no point in removing something that been in the series for 18 years.

the main complaint seem to be from people that are used to games where you only need to put 2 bullets in someone, like call of duty (wich have snap aim that is worse), the only real reason mouse users are at disadvantage is lack of optimized controls, it's better then halo 2, but not as responsive as halo CE, so that is something 343 need to work on.

Destiny has been doing this for ages and it isn't a problem in that game, nor was it in the ports that have happened before (Halo PC, H2 Vista, Eldewrito, all had pad autoaim), this isn't a new thing. Mouse has been dominating in spite of it for years and years. People just like to complain.

the aim assist in this makes it considerably easier to use a controller compared to a mouse and keyboard so much so that it is more competitively viable to use CONTROLLER than it is kb/m
