Can't log into my Microsoft account for MCC?
So when I went to login, I put in my email (lets call this email A), and initially it said that email wasn't on file. I checked it, saw it was right, but tried a different email thinking that I had probably changed it at some point. So I put in a different email (lets cal this one email B), put in the password, but it wants me to verify my account via an email I don't have anymore as well as an old phone number. So I go onto the microsoft website and put in the first email (email A) and password I use and I login no problem, so idk why it hadn't let me in the first place. I think, "okay cool, let me reboot the game so I can try logging into this email instead. The trouble is that in the game, it won't let me go back to try a different email to log in. It wants me to verify the email (email B) that I had put in the second time, before going to the website. I just want to go back and put in my email (email A) that I have the info to so I can play my favorite game, but I can't. The cancel button takes you back to the main menu, and when you press Enter to sign in it pops back up into the Verify (for email B) page. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling both from the Steam app and the Control panel. I managed to change my security info so I can log in with the email (email B) it is stuck on, but I have to wait 30 days to be able to use that. I don't want to wait 30 days just to play this game I literally just bought. I just want to go back to use the email (email A) to the account I have used for years and I know works. Anyone have any ideas?

Man that sounds annoying. I recommend submitting a ticket here[support.halowaypoint.com] to bring this oversight to the devs' attention. Might also try contacting Microsoft support.

Actually I ended up going into appdata->LocalLow and deleting the MCC file. It reset the log in sequence so I could use my email xD There was something I read on the Halo website that said participants in some program should delete this file to be able to log into their own accounts, so I did the same and it worked. :)

Thank you SO MUCH for the tip! I deleted the directory and got to change which email address was associated with my game.

I initially logged in with a bad/old/locked Microsoft email address. There was no way to unlock the email address (entering a phone number didn't work, it would not text any of my numbers.) AND that address was tied to the Halo MCC game. Within 5 minutes of installing the game, I had bricked it. It was completely unusable.

What the **** are the developers thinking, by using this insane Microsoft Account connection, and not giving users more options in case of a problem? In my case, there was LITERALLY one button on the screen, to login with a Microsoft account. There was nothing else, no menu, no settings, nothing.
